I'm completing my Bachelor of Education (Primary and Middle) with Honours, and this semester I'm required to keep up to date with reflections of my learning, understanding, and progress as I prepare for a research project, my final prac, and attempting to get a job.
These are my thoughts.

Now that I have set the context for this blog, I should probably start some reflections.

Today was overwhelming. It was the first day of classes for the semester, and after my 3 classes, I already feel behind and lost and stressed. I quickly discovered that I had somehow missed enrolling in one of the classes for the semester, and was also informed that an unscheduled class would be running on Thursday afternoons - when I work.

We spent most of the day discussing the assignments for each course, and freaking out over trying to comprehend what we were supposed to do.

I will post a list of the assignments and due dates in a moment.

Thankfully my school’s Head of Primary contacted me on Monday night with the good news that he had found me a class, and I was able to give him the forms to sign while I met my teachers and class, albeit briefly. Tomorrow I intend on picking up the form, and quickly touching base with one of my teachers about a possible research project topic I could undertake in the class during my prac.

To do:

  1. visit my teachers and collect form
  2. write a list of all assignments and their due dates
  3. save each assignment document
  4. download QCoT professional standards document
  5. Read “Teacher Voices” document
  6. print off ‘clusters’ documents for group case study task
  7. Begin my e-portfolio
  8. Look into joining some professional organisations

Right, I think that’s all I need to focus on for now.

I’ll write again soon!
